Your success is our success.Description JOB SUMMARY:To perform licensed A&P Mechanic work, including repairs, maintenance, overhaul, modifications, and troubleshooting, on Textron Aviation aircraft at the Sacramento Service Center. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer. Performs turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and engine run-ups. Conducts airframe system, component changes and systems checkout. Performs installation of service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines. Requires knowledge of 100 hour, annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in FAR 43. Uses equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and a variety of hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies. Required to tow and move aircraft during the performance of maintenance duties. Assists in the cleaning of parts and components during the repair and assembly of aircraft. Performs other tasks and duties associated with the service center operation. Responsible for own work. Qualifications EDUCATION:High school education or equivalent requiredA&P License is requiredIn lieu of A&P license must have DD214 form to be reviewed and eligible for company-sponsored technical certification and future license achievement. Must have hours of On-the-Job training (MOS/NEC/AFSC) reviewed and evaluated by FSDORequires use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications plus knowledge of jet airframe and engine principles. Must have knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems. EXPERIENCE:Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience with diversified jet and/or turboprop modification, aircraft/flight maintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance. Preferred 5 years of experience.Preferred experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repair of aircraft. QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority (if applicable). Our teams are engaged in multiple cutting-edge development programs for domestic and international programs. This position provides an opportunity to travel, execute experimental military hardware testing, and develop new skills. The strong candidate will have hands-on experience in the test, integration, and maintenance of mechanical systems and will be ready to work in a fast-paced environment. The position also includes supporting on-water operations of surface systems, serving as a small craft operator, safety lookout, or support crew members. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:• Read assembly documentation (i.e. Work Instructions, Drawings etc.), parts lists, and diagrams to assemble and install a wide variety of components.• Assemble and troubleshoot drivetrain components and hydraulic actuation systems.• Use basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pilers in the confines of a small naval craft.• Use of precision tools such calipers, combination squares, and various torque wrenches.• Use of power tools such as drills, saws, sanders, and grinders. • Identify and document work order instructions, test procedures, and drawing errors.• Assist engineering in issue resolution as part of a design, build, or test team.Responsibilities:• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot ocean-going Unmanned Surface Systems and support craft.• Assist Engineers and Designers with prototype development and testing.• Support offsite qualification testing in accordance with written procedures.• Develop operational and technical manuals.• Interface with existing and prospective customers and service members at operational and maintenance demonstrations.• Actively perform lab maintenance, safety audits, and material tracking.• Promote a safety-first mindset for all on-site lab and off-site testing and personnel.
