MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or the equivalent, AND
- Two years of college (48 units), OR
- A.A. degree (or higher), OR
- Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction and Spanish Translation exam.
DESCRIPTION OF BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist the Expanded Learning Site Coordinator in the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of students by performing a variety of instructional support activities related to an effective save learning environment.

Calendar is a 212 workday calendar. The position is for 6 hours per day with the exception of Summer Program dates, where the position is 8 hours per day. The calendar can be viewed on our District website under the Human Resources Department/Calendars

**All applicants must pass or have passed the District Instructional Assistant exam AND the Spanish Translation exam. Date and location listed above. Exams are offered every Wednesday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Limited afternoon testing opportunities are available upon request, please contact HR@galt.k12.ca.us. Tests are held at the District Office 1018 C Street, Suite 210, Galt. If you do not come on the assigned date, you will not be eligible for this position.

The Instructional Assistant exam will be waived IF applicant has two years of college (minimum of 48 units), or holds an AA degree or higher, but NOT the Spanish translation exam. A copy of the degree must be attached, if applicable.

If you have passed the exams for this position within the past two years or have questions as to whether you need to take these exams, you will need to contact Personnel to verify that you will not need to retest, or you may be disqualified from this posting.
