Medical Technologist General

Job Description

The job of a medical technologist involves independent performance and working under established procedures, performing a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures including collection, preparation observation and processing of bacteriologic, chemical, morphologic, and microscopic tests which provide data for use in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases.  
The physical requirements are light work, sitting, standing, bending and walking, repetitive motions and tasks, good manual dexterity, distinguish colors, clarity of vision, lifting and pulling. Hazards may include exposure to chemicals, blood, tissues, and body fluids, communicable diseases and moving mechanical parts. 
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology.
Salary is based on Bargaining Unit Agreement.
