Job Duties:

This position reports to the Ellis Bus Repair, Coffield, or Powledge Metal Fab Facility depending upon the vacancies, on a daily basis.  Duties will include directing and overseeing the work of inmates to ensure efficient operations; and supervising the work of employees and inmates.  This individual will work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or 4 years of production or manufacturing experience.

You have experience in the supervision of employees and inmates.

Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with the following restrictions: E or L through Texas Department of Criminal Justice within 120 days of the date of employment.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have knowledge of quality control standards to maintain satisfactory levels of production.

You have knowledge of metal fabrication methods and procedures.

You have great communication skills and are able to communicate your ideas, and instructions clearly to staff, administration, and vendors.

You have skills in problem solving along with applying the rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
