THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports highway and bridge maintenance by operating equipment and performing important manual labor tasks. It helps ensure safe and efficient roadway operations across Bucks County. As a PennDOT CDL Operator, you will perform the following duties:Equipment Operation: Operate trucks, loaders, and construction equipment and complete daily pre and post operation checksTraffic Control: Perform flagging duties to support safe traffic movement during maintenance workManual Labor: Complete tasks such as cutting brush, cleaning culverts, erecting signs, and repairing guiderailsMaintenance Support: Make field adjustments, perform minor repairs, and assist mechanics with equipment servicingSafety Practices: Follow all safety procedures, report incidents immediately, and maintain awareness of hazardsEnvironmental Compliance: Follow environmental guidelines and participate in required environmental trainingInterested in learning more?
