THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the technology systems that keep agency operations running smoothly and safely. You will play a key role in maintaining hardware, software, networks, and specialized applications across multiple locations. As a Job Network Specialist 2, you will perform the following duties:System Oversight: Monitor and maintain hardware, software, communications equipment, and remote network operationsUser Support: Assist agency staff with software and hardware issues and provide training when neededDocumentation Management: Maintain accurate records of configurations, maintenance agreements, cabling, and problem resolutionsSystem Planning: Prepare for system expansion by evaluating hardware and software needs and completing capacity planningTechnical Coordination: Work with outside providers to support data exchange, programming, and specialized system functionsAdministration Duties: Manage user access, specialized systems, agency reports, and budget file uploads and downloadsWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as a Network Specialist 1 or Network Specialist 1 (LG); orFour years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; orTwo years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience in networ
