THE POSITION
Join the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a Maintenance Repairman 2 and help shape the look and feel of agency spaces. This role allows you to take part in building custom furniture and fixtures that support stores and offices across the agency. Your craftsmanship will bring designs to life and create durable, high-quality pieces that meet real needs. Be part of a team that values skill, creativity, and strong workmanship.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position helps design, build, and finish custom furniture, shelving, and other items used across agency stores and offices. It supports safe operations and high-quality craftsmanship while contributing to emergency response when needed. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:Design Support: Interpret conceptual drawings, revise sketches, and provide input on materials and construction methodsProject Planning: Offer guidance on sequencing work, estimating needs, and selecting approaches that improve quality and efficiencyConstruction Work: Use woodworking tools, measuring devices, and multiple trade skills to build and finish custom itemsMaterial Layout: Plan cuts and layouts to reduce waste and ensure accurate, attractive resultsShop Safety: Maintain tools, organize materials, and follow safety practices to support a safe work environmentEmergency Response: Assist with urgent repairs caused by weather or operational issues to secure facilitiesInterested in learning more?
