THE POSITION
The Maintenance Repairman 2 role with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources offers a chance to help keep state park facilities at Ole Bull State Park in top condition. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will support the upkeep, repair, and construction of park buildings, facilities and equipment at Ole Bull State Park as part of the Kettle Creek State Park complex. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:General Maintenance: Perform skilled tasks across carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical and mechanical workProject Planning: Organize repair needs, gather supplies and estimate time and material requirements for assignmentsLead Work Direction: Guide and support laborers and other staff during maintenance and construction projectsEquipment Operation: Operate light and heavy equipment safely and complete required reports and maintenance logs for equipmentFacility Care: Maintain buildings, grounds, signs and water systems to ensure clean and safe conditions for park useInterested in learning more? REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFour years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Special Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class
