DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on performing a wide range of building, repair, and grounds tasks to support the needs of the Division of Installation Maintenance at Fort Indiantown Gap. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:Carpentry Tasks: Install ceilings, walls, floors, and fixtures while repairing damaged building elementsPlumbing Work: Repair or replace sinks, toilets, valves, pipes, and other plumbing componentsPainting Tasks: Prepare surfaces and apply paint to interior and exterior areasElectrical Repairs: Replace switches, receptacles, ballasts, and other electrical itemsGrounds Care: Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, trimming, clearing snow, and removing debrisEquipment Care: Keep tools and machinery in good working order through basic maintenanceInterested in learning more? REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFour years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Special Requirement:You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.Additional Requirements:You must maintain favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screeni
