THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for an LCB Licensing Specialist in the Bureau of Licensing, Administrative and Divergent Licensing Affairs Division. In this role you will be responsible for advanced, analytical work involving the review of a variety of licensing action request types, and subsequent recommendation for Board action in accordance with all statutory, regulatory, and policy criteria governing licensed establishments. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensing Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and coordinating information (violation history, petitions to intervene and input from law enforcement and citizens) and work with Bureau Supervisors, Division Chief, Director and PLCB attorneys to evaluate renewals and changes to licenses. You will have the opportunity to provide education and assistance to entities that provide information regarding liquor licensees. Additional responsibilities include:Examining pertinent files for complaints, citations, suspension, appeals, petitions to interview, hearings and any other irregularities or pending action which affect the eligibility of the applicant and or premisesPreparing resumes of complex cases for referral to upper-level management personnel for review and adviseReviewing cases that require Board action to ensure that all of the pertinent facts are properly presented and discussed in the case resume for proper presentation to the BoardReviewing and analyzing testimony and resumes prepared by a Hearing ExaminerPreparing summaries of hearings and providing the Bureau's recommendation for Board review and final decisionInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
