The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a Land Research Survey Technician for the Southwest Region. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role involves conducting technical land survey work under the close guidance of a Professional Licensed Surveyor, primarily within the designated region but also across the Commonwealth as needed. As a vital member of a survey crew, the position encompasses a range of field, office, and research activities essential for completing title-boundary, easement, and topographic surveys on Pennsylvania State Game Lands and similar locations. Responsibilities include performing land research in county offices to gather ownership information about current, past, and neighboring landowners, which entails constructing title chains, examining wills and estates, and abstracting deeds. Once ownership is established, the position requires executing technical tasks to measure existing field locations of both natural and artificial features, property boundaries, and the precise dimensions of land areas.Interested in learning more?
