We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Power, Interconnect & Test Manager to join our Space Electrical Engineering team located in Englewood, CO. We are looking for an experienced electrical engineering leader with expertise in spacecraft electrical power systems, interconnect design, integration, and test who thrives in a fast-paced Research and Development (R&D) environment. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager of Space Electrical Engineering and will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the architecture, design, development, integration, verification, and test of electrical power and interconnect systems for small satellites, spacecraft, space-based optical communications, advanced aerospace and electro-optic sensors, nuclear thermal propulsion, and other disruptive space and defense technologies in GA-EMS' expanding product portfolio. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead electrical power, interconnect, integration, and test engineering activities from concept development through production, integration, test, and delivery. Manage technical objectives, schedules, staffing, budgets, resources, and performance for assigned programs. Oversee spacecraft power architectures, including power generation, energy storage, distribution, conditioning, protection, switching, monitoring, and control. Direct the design and development of electrical schematics, harnesses, cable assemblies, connectors, backshells, grounding, bonding, shielding, and installation hardware. Lead engineering analysis, fabrication, hardware integration, troubleshooting, qualification, environmental, and acceptance testing. Develop test strategies, procedures, equipment requirements, verification methods, and automated test systems. Coordinate requirements, interfaces, design solutions, and test criteria with systems engineering, program management, and other technical disciplines. Ensure designs meet mission, reliability, radiation, thermal, vibration, shock, EMC, contamination, materials, and other space-environment requirements. Review and approve technical documentation, including requirements, analyses, schematics, interface documents, test procedures, reports, and configuration-controlled records. Lead anomaly investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and nonconformance resolution. Represent the organization as a technical contact with customers, government representatives, suppliers, and senior external stakeholders. Support technical reviews, proposals, business development, engineering process improvements, and the hiring and development of technical talent. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
