THE POSITION
Join the Department of Transportation as a Driver License Examiner w/CDL and enjoy the benefit of being home every day. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position promotes safe driving by conducting standardized knowledge and skills tests and reviewing identity documents. You will help ensure that applicants meet legal requirements while supporting daily customer service needs. As a Driver License Examiner w/CDL, you will perform the following duties:Applicant Evaluation: Determine driving qualifications and check vehicle conditions for safetyTest Administration: Conduct CDL and non CDL knowledge, pre trip, and road testsDocument Review: Examine identity documents to identify fraud and confirm authenticityCustomer Processing: Issue licenses, handle applications and provide service informationSystem Access: Use databases to verify identity and eligibility for license productsRegulation Compliance: Follow REAL ID rules and all customer service policiesInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weeklyWork hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.Overtime and travel as neededTelework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orTwo years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.Special Requirements:This position requires an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application.This position requires no suspen
