THE POSITION
You will make a real difference every day by providing support and hope to the most vulnerable populations in Beaver County.  The purpose of this position is to provide social services to children and their families where child abuse and/or neglect have been reported and/or substantiated.  This position is hired through Beaver County.We need you – apply today!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The person hired for this position must be able to work with diverse populations, those of varying socioeconomic levels, and families with multi-system concerns, using a strength-based approach.  Caseworkers may be placed into various units within the agency such as: intake, on-going services, teen services, intensive services, placement and permanency.  All units require excellent organizational skills, computer adeptness, and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.  Criminal and child abuse background checks are required.  The position may require the employee to work irregular hours, including some weekends. Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Sunday-Thursday, with a 1-hour lunch.The work hours include mandatory travel time, overtime, and after-hours work.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; orSuccessful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; orA bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.Other Requirements:PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is n
