DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides counseling, casework, and support to inmates who are adjusting to the correctional environment and preparing for community re-entry. As a Corrections Counselor 2, you will perform the following duties:Inmate Counseling: Interview inmates, offer guidance on adjustment, support conflict resolution, and provide referrals for social, educational, and vocational growthCaseload Management: Develop and maintain records, communicate with families and agencies, and coordinate information for case planning and reintegrationAssessment Review: Analyze tests, compile histories, and document evaluations to determine programming, risk levels, and treatment needsTreatment Coordination: Work with multidisciplinary staff to align programming, counseling, activities, and expectations that support behavioral changeParole Preparation: Assist with re-entry planning, secure identification documents, and prepare reports and recommendations for parole reviewInterested in learning more?
