DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Attorney Examiner, you will be responsible for overseeing and making decisions on appeals related to various Department of Human Services program regulations. Your work will involve conducting thorough reviews of appeals and ensuring they adhere to established laws, policies, and procedures. You will also be responsible for conducting pre-hearing conferences, issuing subpoenas and rulings, and responding to motions. In order to effectively fulfill this role, you will need to have strong communication skills to interact with appellants, attorneys, representatives, and agencies. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting quarterly meetings and tracking the status of case assignments.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Overtime as operationally necessaryTelework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of your probationary period and training. Work assignments will primarily take place in the office. Telework will be based on the operational needs of the bureau. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
