Questions a recruiter actually asks
What is in a report?
The blocks that answer the question. Where the roles are, who advertises them, what they pay, and which of those employers have contracts up for rebid.
On the federal side: hires against separations by agency, starting pay by grade, tenure, and why people leave.
Each block is a query. A report is a selection of them, scoped to a role, an employer, a state or a metro.
Is any of it written by AI?
The composer is. You ask in plain language; a model chooses the scope and the blocks, and answers.
Every figure in that answer is checked against what was queried. A sentence with a number we did not count is held back, and the report says so.
The charts are queries, not generation.
Which roles can it read?
Any federal series by code or name, and the commercial titles that map onto them. “Senior SWE”, “GS-2210”, a pasted job description or a posting URL all resolve.
A family word like “engineer” widens to the whole family and says so. An employer name opens the competitor brief instead.
How does it leave the console?
Save as PDF, for the client. A one-line takeaway built from the charts, for Slack.
