Labor-market intelligence for the public sector

Ayla runs the government job board, so we see the whole market: 105,000+ open government and contractor roles, collected weekly from 250+ official sources and normalized into one dataset. Agencies, contractors, economic-development offices, and researchers use it to benchmark pay, size labor markets, and spot where hiring demand is shifting.

What's in the dataset

What's in every record

Each posting carries a normalized title, employer, organization type (federal, state, county, city, contractor), location down to the city, advertised salary range, job function, and a security-clearance flag. Federal roles keep their series, grade, and pay plan. Because the index refreshes weekly, demand history accumulates: you can watch posting volume, repost behavior, and pay move over time instead of buying a snapshot.

Where it comes from

The same pipeline that powers our public job board: USAJobs and other federal systems, all 50 state portals plus 5 territories, 110+ city and 57+ county career sites, and major government contractors. No panel surveys, no modeled estimates. These are the actual postings, deduplicated and normalized.

Frequently asked questions

Can I try the data before licensing it?
Yes. The job search, map, and analytics dashboard at aylagov.com run on the full dataset and are free to use, and the sample extract on this page is a real cut from the public API. Licensed exports add per-posting detail, history, and delivery in your format.
How fresh is the data?
The index refreshes weekly from 250+ official government and contractor sources, and expired postings are retired automatically. That is a different animal from quarterly survey data: you see the market as it is this week.
How is this different from Lightcast or JobsEQ?
Those are general, all-industry labor tools. Ayla covers only government and government-contractor hiring, at source level, with the federal series, pay-plan, and security-clearance detail they don't carry. There's a full side-by-side on our comparison page.
What does it cost?
It depends on coverage and delivery, so we scope each license to the use case rather than publishing one price. Send the form below with what you need and we'll reply with a concrete quote.
