Conducts

initial

and
ongoing
assessments

of
individuals
needing

mental

health services
and develops appropriate clinical treatment recommendations, and service plans.
Provides
individual
and/or
family
counseling
to
children/adolescents/adults
that are person-centered and/ or family centered.
Develops appropriate clinical treatment recommendations, service plans, safety plans; monitors clinical progress and modifies treatment as needed; and coordinates appropriate referrals and follow-up based on individual needs.
Provides clinical expertise in the development and refinement of behavioral health programs serving children and families through grant-funded and special initiatives within the system of county government.
Responsible
for data
collection,
reporting,
and
meeting
BHS
productivity
requirements.
Participates
in
departmental,
community,
and
county team
meetings
as
required
to
build

partnerships

and

provide

clinical
continuity.
Participates in multidisciplinary teams; provides case consultation as needed to staff and community partners regarding complex behavioral health needs.
Addresses behavioral health needs associated with family disruption, parental incarceration, court involvement, and other significant life stressors.
Demonstrates knowledge of and implements developmentally appropriate trauma-informed clinical interventions to address behavioral health needs associated with family disruption, adverse childhood experiences, the effects of trauma, parental incarceration, court involvement, and chronic stress on children and families
Develops
therapeutic intervention plans with
clients.
Works collaboratively with schools, Courts, child-serving agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations,
Sheriff's

Office,

DA,
Public Defender's
office, stakeholders
and
interdisciplinary

team
when clinically appropriate.
Participates
in
activities

and
duties
related
to
emergency

management
during a local
state
of
disaster
as directed by appropriate
county

managers.
Supports
the
effective
and
efficient
functioning
of
BHS
operations, including providing availability to
work after hours as needed.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field;
Licensed
in psychology,
social
work,
counseling
or other related
field

preferred.
Minimum
of 2
years'
experience providing
clinical
services to individuals with mental
illness

and/or

other
behavioral health
disorders.
Must
be able to work with diverse
populations,
age groups, and
cultures.
Proven
proficiency with both oral
and

written
communication skills.
Organizational skills
and
the ability to
complete
multiple
tasks
a
must.
Strong

interpersonal
skills and
the
ability to deal
effectively
with the public, other
employees

and

elected

officials.
Flexible
work
schedule
may be
required
in order to respond to
clinical

needs
and other
emergency
situations.
Experience working with youth or families involved with the juvenile or adult justice systems.
Experience in providing Crisis Intervention services.
SALARY RANGE:
$75,150.40
-
$93,932.80
annually based on qualifications
