About the Agency

The Mississippi Division of Medicaid responsibly provides access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low-income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged, and the disabled.

About the Position

Second-level Human Resources professional position accountable for administering agency human resources programs, policies, and procedures related to recruitment and selection, classification, salary analysis, benefits, appointments, performance evaluation, training and development, and employee engagement. Provides consultation and advice to managers, supervisors, and employees on human resources issues, including grievances, investigations, and employee relations issues. May exercise limited supervision over lower-level human resources staff. This is a Non-State, TIME-LIMITED (14) position.

The candidate should be able to multitask, pay attention to detail, effectively communicate, have good attendance and punctuality, be reliable, have accountability in all facets, and have a willing and can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience. ** Agency Prefers: Experience in MAGIC-EC, SPAHRS, Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign are also preferred.
