About the Position

First-level professional Human Resources position accountable for duties that are professional in nature and employees act as an adviser in the Agencies in one or more areas of human resources. Under direct supervision, positions are accountable for duties in agency human resources programs, policies, and procedures related to recruitment and selection, classification, salary analysis, benefits, appointments, and performance evaluation, and ensures work done is in compliance with relevant federal and state laws. Position may also be responsible for preparing reports at an agency or state wide level that can be used by managers and Statewide HR for the purposes of managing human resources costs. Employees at this level may also direct and review the work, such as payroll and related actions, of lower-level employees.

What you'll need to be Successful

Excellent communication and writing skills are essential to coordinating daily HR functions. The ability to adapt quickly, speak in front of an audience, be courteous, and maintain strict confidentiality. Computer skills, and efficient use of MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
