Requirements / Qualifications: Level 1: Initial Credential Required Level 2: Clear Credential Required REQUIRED: A current, valid Registered Nurse license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing CPR/BLS certification. Independently assess and manage the care of students with special health care needs. The ability to perform a variety of specialized health care procedures and medication administration. Strong communication skills, flexibility in working across school sites & staff collaboratively. DESIRED: Previous experience working with children/adults with special healthcare needs. Experience with case management of chronic health conditions i.e. diabetes. Knowledge of immunization requirements for the school setting, a background in public health, and common childhood health conditions.
