As a Pool Technician, you will be responsible for (but not limited to): -Managing the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of district aquatic facilities and equipment -Monitoring and maintaining safe and healthy pool conditions, including water chemistry and filtration systems -Inspecting pools and equipment and assisting in the development and implementation of maintenance plans -Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on pool systems, surfaces, pumps, mechanical equipment, and related components -Safely operating and maintaining tools, equipment, and district vehicles used for aquatic facility maintenance -Maintaining clean, organized, and safe pool environments in alignment with district standards and safety procedures -Coordinating and guiding the work of others and assisting with training as needed -Maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports using district systems and technology -Communicating effectively with staff, students, and community members while providing responsive customer service -Supporting school and district events and assisting in accomplishing department and district goals What you need for this position: -Completion of 12th grade or equivalent -Resume and Letter of Introduction outlining desire and qualifications for this position -Prior relevant experience preferred -Passage of San José Unified test, including swim requirements -California driver’s license required -California Pool Operator certificate required -First Aid / CPR certification required
