Job Description

Requirements / Qualifications: Employment Standards Experience and Training Guidelines Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Education and Training: Consistent with the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015, No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and other related legislation, paraprofessionals working in a program supported with Title I funds must meet the following standards: The equivalent of graduation from high school and one of the following: Completion of at least two years of study (48 semester units or 60 quarter units) at an institution of higher education; Or Attainment of an Associate of Arts degree or higher degree; Or Meeting a rigorous standard of quality by receiving a passing score in an examination administered by the Personnel Commission which demonstrates the knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics. Experience: Two years of experience working with hearing impaired students or children in a school, health services, or other instructional environment. License or Certificate Possession of, a valid California Driver's license may be required for some positions. Possession of, a CPR and first aid certificate.
