Marketing Specialist Associate
Under direct supervision, supports marketing and public outreach programs designed to increase awareness and use of OCTA projects, programs, and services. This entry-level role assists with marketing campaigns, community engagement, events, social media, and communications targeting diverse audiences throughout Orange County.
This is a non-exempt position in salary grade 170: Min - $34.61 | Mid - $41.12| Max - $47.62/hour. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.

What You'll Do
Assist with marketing and public awareness campaigns using advertising, events, email, social media, and promotions
Develop and distribute marketing materials and public outreach collateral
Support community meetings, workshops, focus groups, and outreach events
Coordinate event logistics, staffing, materials, and site requirements
Monitor website and social media content for accuracy and relevance
Gather and analyze customer and public feedback and prepare reports
Write, proofread, and edit public information and marketing content
Conduct outreach to businesses and community organizations and help develop partnerships
Track communication metrics, maintain databases, and prepare reports and presentations
Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and community partners
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Related marketing, communications, or public outreach experience preferred
Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze information, maintain accurate data, and communicate findings
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Orange County demographics and transportation issues is desirable
Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours and attend community events
