What you will do:
Conduct quasi-judicial hearings with interested parties and their counsel: place witnesses under oath, question witnesses to ascertain pertinent facts, see that hearings are properly recorded, admit or exclude evidence, and facilitate the cross-examination of witnesses.
Prior to hearing, review the Division exhibits and documentation submitted by the parties and make necessary preparations to address the issues pertinent to the hearing.
Prepare written decisions, or orders, applying pertinent provisions of the law and following established precedents.
Study precedent decisions in similar cases as a guide for making decisions.

All you need for success:
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree
or
a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in the programs subject to the administrative hearings review (substitutions may be allowed).
Desired Attributes
Licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri.
Prior participation in administrative hearings.
Possess a familiarity with an unemployment insurance system.
Knowledge of administrative procedures.
