Job Description
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Cook to join our cafeteria team. The position of cook; with dishwashing responsibilities provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:
Practices Serve Safe Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe is practiced at all times.
Prepares catering functions and consistently maintains quality by ensuring catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered
Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time and are ready on time for tray line.
Ensures proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
2 Years Institutional Cooking.
ServSafe Food Safety Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:
Hospital cooking experience
The pay range for this position is $21.24 - $31.88.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
