Job Description
THE POSITION:
Under direction, to assist in providing administrative and budgetary guidance to department head and departmental administrative personnel regarding City services and business affairs; to conduct administrative studies and analyses; to submit recommendations and prepare reports; and to do related work as required.

ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST I:
• Graduation from an accredited college or university, with a major in Public or Business Administration, or closely related field; AND
• One (1) year of administrative and/or financial experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the capabilities to perform the described duties.
ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST II:
• In addition to the above, must have two (2) years of administrative and/or financial experience equivalent to the City's Administrative Analyst I class.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE: Experience with drafting and preparing agreements, contracts, or similar formal documents, as well as experience with grant administration.

EXAMINATION (Weighted: 100%) September 28th, 2026 (Tentative): An appraisal will be made of the applicant's education, training, experience, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required. **NOTE: Admission to the Examination may be limited to those applicants who demonstrate the best combination of qualifications. Applicants possessing the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed admittance to the Examination.
