SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
As a Visitation Coach, your main duties are to provide supervised visits for families with children in foster care and ensure a safe and supportive environment during court-ordered visitations. You will assist with assessing family interactions during visits and work with families to help achieve reunification and other positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and document visits between foster children and biological parents, providing feedback on family interactions and concerns.
Conduct comprehensive client intakes and evaluations and provide input for reunification plans and referrals.
Complete required assessments, case plans, narratives, reports, and statistical documentation within mandated timeframes.
Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, supervision, consultations, and training.
Collaborate with public and private agencies while professionally representing The Salvation Army and Child Welfare Services.
Maintain an active caseload of 10-12 assessment and ongoing coaching cases.
Assist with training interns, students, and new staff while demonstrating cultural competence and supporting organizational goals.
Represent The Salvation Army and Child Welfare Services in a professional manner in the community at meetings, trainings, and assigned groups.
Assist in the training of interns/students/new workers.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with child welfare and/or child development experience preferred.
3-5 years or related experience in social work.
Strong background in family systems preferred.
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to multitask.
Must have vehicle or regular access to a vehicle.
Must possess a valid driver's license that meets The Salvation Army's insurance requirements.
Provide physical assistance and/or intervention with children.
