Qualifications and Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, financial, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, urban planning, geography, or other fields related to the position. OR Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is directly related to the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position including but are not limited to professional knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices of transportation community and regional planning and coordination, and ability to develop plans and work schedules for assigned transportation projects. Ability to exercise initiative and resourcefulness in obtaining and analyzing information relative to transportation planning, multimodal project development, development of conceptual and feasibility studies, environmental documentation. A minimum of one (1) year of experience with a moderate professional knowledge of transportation and urban and regional planning theories, concepts, and principles is highly preferred.
