The Missouri Office of Prosecution Services provides best practices to elected prosecutors across the State of Missouri and their staff.  This unique position would allow you to provide your expertise related to driving while intoxicated laws to not only prosecutors, but to law enforcement as well. This program allows travel across the State not only to provide training, but to serve as special prosecutors in intoxication-related cases.

Training Programs and Equipment:
Assist in the planning, coordination, and presentation of statewide and regional training programs for prosecutors, law enforcement officers, judges, and traffic safety professionals. Topics may include impaired driving investigations and prosecutions, DRE-related issues, field sobriety testing, blood draw procedures, traffic stops and vehicle searches, injury and fatality crash prosecutions, emerging drug trends, and related courtroom is-sues. Responsibilities include assisting with conferences, webinars, in-service training, preparation of course materials, and development of legal updates and presentations.
Special Prosecutions and Trial Assistance:
Provide litigation support and trial assistance to county prosecuting attorneys handling impaired driving and traffic safety cases, including serving as special prosecutor in cases involving conflicts, recusals, or complex legal issues. Assist with charging decisions, motion practice, evidentiary hearings, trial preparation, and jury trials.
Technical Assistance and Reference Materials:
Serve as a statewide resource prosecutor for Missouri county prosecuting attorneys and law enforcement officers by providing legal research, consultation, technical assistance, sample pleadings, legal updates, and assistance with emerging traffic safety issues. Assist in updating and distributing training manuals, case law summaries, and other reference resources.
Traffic Safety Liaison Activities:
Serve as a liaison between Missouri prosecutors and the broader traffic safety community, including law enforcement agencies, victim advocacy organizations, task forces, judicial partners, and national traffic safety organizations. Attend statewide and national traffic safety conferences, and committee meetings to support statewide coordination and training initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
3 years criminal law experience
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible for admission in Missouri
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant criminal prosecution or defense experience
Strong courtroom, writing, organizational, and public speaking skills

Any applicant returning to state employment after less than a 2 year departure from state employment is eligible for a maximum of a 10% of differential pay in addition to the base salary
