THE POSITION
As a Therapeutic Activities Aide with the Department of Human Services (DHS), you help individuals take part in programs that strengthen independence and build confidence. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position guides individuals as they participate in therapeutic, recreational, and vocational activities designed to support personal life goals. As a Therapeutic Activities Aide, you will perform the following duties:Instruction Assistance: Support individuals as they complete therapeutic, recreational, and vocational activities that strengthen skillsActivity Oversight: Monitor participation during programs, Center wide events, and off grounds trips and provide assistance and supportMobility Support: Aid individuals with varying communication and movement needs during daily activities, programming, and community employment tasksWork Area Care: Maintain clean conditions, manage supplies, and handle equipment to support safe and sanitary conditionsResidential Collaboration: Assist residential staff with delivering and monitoring treatment, training, and related services when assignedInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) and 2nd shift (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM), with a 30-minute lunch.
