Child Creativity Lab is a STEAM education non-profit in Santa Ana, CA, serving thousands of students every year with hands-on, creativity-enhancing programs. Our mission is to foster the next generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, and leaders through hands-on creativity-enhancing exploration. We cultivate creativity by providing students with the experiences they need to look at the world in new ways. We engage children grades TK-8 with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs. Our approach to teaching uses the Design Thinking process and “STEAM” — the "A" (art) adds the ability for students to look at a situation from new and creative angles and inspires innovation. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate teachers to join our team. At Child Creativity Lab, our teachers are our mission in action. Fill out our online application at https://tinyurl.com/teach-creativity Job Summary: As a STEAM + Creativity Instructor, you will be responsible for facilitating STEAM programming through a variety of program avenues: hands-on workshops, family evening events, community events, and more. You will be part of providing high quality instruction, lesson planning, and workshop preparation. Location: Various school and community partners throughout Orange County Time Commitment: Full Time / Part Time, flexible to your schedule Key responsibilities: Facilitate and oversee STEAM + Creativity workshops at various locations with other instructors/staff Communicate curriculum effectively to teach students important STEAM concepts Prepare materials for scheduled workshops in our Depot for Creative Reuse Arrive before class times to prep and clean up after Transportation of relevant materials Regular communication with internal staff and external clients Attend instructor training and meetings Requirements: Valid driver’s license and insurance REQUIRED Automobile or access to other transportation REQUIRED TB test REQUIRED Qualifications: Interest in education and experience teaching Creative, flexible, and able to adapt to classroom environments Excellent organization and communication skills Professionalism while working in community partner and school environments Dependable attendance Training and Support Provided: Orientation to Child Creativity Lab On-site training and on-going support Background check and fingerprinting Pay and Benefits: Pay commensurate with experience Travel reimbursement Professional development in non-profits, education and STEAM Access to CCL Community Makerspace Interested in joining us at CCL?
