Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Software Architect in a remote support role for the Maryland/Virginia/DC area. Must be local to the DC metro area for occasional work in Reston, VA office.

What you will do:

In this role, you will develop and support mechanisms, documentation, and procedures for operational support of core and fielded systems.

You will collaborate closely with developers and mission stakeholders to support system requirements, operational processes, and technical solutions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining system functionality, supporting integration efforts, and enabling successful delivery of capabilities across mission environments and external partner frameworks.

Develop and support operational processes, documentation, and procedures for system sustainment
Gather, analyze, and maintain system requirements for technical solution development
Support deployment and integration of system capabilities across mission frameworks
Serve as a primary point of contact for coordination with internal teams and external partners
Collaborate with developers and engineers to support system functionality and enhancements
Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support of fielded systems
Support integration and interoperability across distributed and mission systems

Qualifications
What you will need:
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance
Must have experience deploying and managing Windows and Linux Systems
Must have experience deploying and managing virtual environments
DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher)

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
