About the Agency

This opportunity is a Social Services Supervisor position in the Permanency Support Services/Post Adoption Unit within MS Department of Child Protection Services. The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi's at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. About the Position

This is a time limited position. Oversees the Adoption Assistance and Medicaid programs, supporting adoptive families.

Provides leadership, oversight, coaching, and constructive feedback to Social Service Program Coordinators in the Permanency Support Services/Post Adoption Unit.

Reviews and approves Adoption Assistance Contracts, ensuring payment and Medicaid compliance.

Serves as the state ICAMA (Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance) Compact Administrator.

Prepares, reviews, and submits necessary reports.

Administers the Permanency Support Services/Post Adoption electronic records system.

Maintains familiarity with standard operating procedures, agency policies, program guidelines, and relevant legislation pertaining to permanency for children and youth.

Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisory and executive staff, including the Director of Permanency Support Services, Director of Prevention and Permanency Services, Senior Clinical Officer, and Commissioner.
