Responsibilities
Noblis is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to address infectious disease threat analysis and medical planning for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

If you are interested in this exciting opportunity to help develop and advance DHS's capabilities in the threat detection and response space, we are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment and integrity to successfully support the mission. Responsibilities include:
Technical writing and crafting of analytical products on medical preparedness and planning for workforce health protection, and public health threats including infectious disease events.
Planning development for high-consequence events that could impact public health or DHS operations.
Logistics support for medical- and public health- related activities.
Technical review of reports and other products on public health related topics.
Briefing CWMD federal staff, interagency partners and other stakeholders on biological events of interest including planning and response activities.
Innovating around new processes and products to enhance medical operations, public health response activities and threat recognition.
Data analyses of infectious disease activity to investigate key characteristics and other information targets designated by the government.
Epidemiological support to infectious disease preparedness and response activities.

All applicants must be able to work on-site in a Washington D.C. location at least a few days a week, or as required by the government client.

Required Qualifications
Active SECRET clearance.
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security suitability.
Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or related field.
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience to the responsibilities described for this role.
Ability to work onsite at government designated offices, including Washington D.C., multiple times per week, or as required by the government client.
Well organized, critical thinker, exceptional customer service skills for engaging with federal government clients.
Ability to work tasks autonomously and follow through to completion.
Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
Competence to function efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environment focused on improving health security and threat recognition.

Desired Qualifications
Previous professional work with federal, state and/or local governments entities.
Demonstrated knowledge of health security, public health, and workforce protection.
Previous professional experience as a medical planner and/or epidemiologist working with the U.S. government.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $95,500.00 - USD $149,200.00 /Yr.
