Responsibilities
Peraton seeks a
Senior Data / Cloud Engineer
supporting a specialized ARCYBER G36 Platform Management Support project. Location: Fort Gordon, GA.

Tasks include:
Build an environment that consists of several VMs on AWS
Iterate with customers on requirements
Manage user/customer access
Establish and maintain the containerized environment with an entry mechanism, a notebook environment (like JupyterHub), a script server, and persistence using AWS S3
Use data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases
Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements
Write and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability
Implements comprehensive backup and database replication solutions

Qualifications
Required:
Requires minimum of 12 years experience with BS/BA, minimum of 10 years with MS/MA, minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider HS+16 years of experience.
Must be experienced with cloud-based data warehousing, specifically using
the Big Data Platform (BDP).
Must have experience writing data parsers for the BDP.
Must have experience with Kafka and Apachi NiFi.
Must have expertise in cloud native data storage services and data warehousing methods.
Must be familiar with SQL and noSQL data storage methods
Must hold
appropriate
IAT Level II
certification prior to beginning work
Requires TS SCI clearance and polygraph or the ability to obtain polygraph and maintain MEAD clearance
U.S Citizenship required.
Preferred:
IAT level III or other Cloud certification.
Experience in DevSecOps, IAC, K8S/Docker, AWS EC2/S3/IAM, networking, routing, with a working knowledge of POSIX Shell, BASH, Python.
Familiarity with how to build an environment with several VMs on AWS.
Familiarity with maintaining a network route and pro-grammatically switch for different data scraping tasks.
Experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA), facilitating meetings and working session related Enterprise Architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect data and conduct EA and GAP analyses.
Familiar with government architecture frameworks such as the Federal Enterprise Architecture and DoDAF and Business Process Model and Notation.
Experience supporting architecture development and maintenance, portfolio management, and/or acquisition management.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
