The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to deliver amazing care to our residents at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. In this role, you will oversee the complete care of residents and supervision of nursing care within your assigned area. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will oversee the comprehensive care of residents and supervision of nursing care within designated areas during your assigned shift. You will provide general supervision, guidance, and support to all nursing staff, ensuring the effective implementation of health care activities, treatments, and medication management in compliance with facility accreditation standards. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and evaluating tasks; setting work priorities; conducting interviews; selecting staff; assessing employee performance; approving leave requests; managing disciplinary actions; identifying training needs; providing coaching and counseling; and resolving conflicts. Additionally, you will monitor residents' conditions, ensuring any changes are promptly communicated to the appropriate staff, and document daily care activities in the required forms and electronic medical records..Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40-hour work weekWork hours consist of evening shift, six 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and supplemented by one 8-hour shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with work scheduled every other weekend. Each shift includes a 30-minute lunch break. Training will be conducted on the day shift.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
