What You'll Do
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process:
Assessment → Planning → Implementation → Evaluation
In this role, you will:
Provide comprehensive nursing care that addresses the
physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs
of patients and families.
Perform assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify expected outcomes, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care, provide health education and promotion, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Deliver
age- and developmentally appropriate care
consistent with nursing standards, evidence-based practice, and MUSC policies.
Direct and lead assigned team members while collaborating effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Identify clinical priorities and take initiative to improve patient outcomes.
Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care through the application of care management principles.
Maintain a
safe, therapeutic, and healing environment
by protecting patient privacy and demonstrating responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, autonomy, and accountability in daily practice.
Actively participate in the professional practice model, including
shared governance, peer review, professional development, and leadership initiatives
.
Promote a healthy work environment through effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, and respect.
Pursue ongoing professional growth and clinical excellence.

Education
Graduate from an
accredited school of nursing
.
License & Certifications
Current
South Carolina or compact-state Registered Nurse (RN) license
required.
Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
required.
