Why you’ll love this position: The project reviewer creates bidding documents and review plans, specifications, and estimates to ensure quality plans and bidding documents for construction projects. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.
MoDOT will bring candidates onto the team as entry-level, intermediate, or senior level, based on your skills and experience. This opening is for one of our CAREER-LADDER positions which offers the opportunity for career advancement without having to participate in the competitive selection interview process.  As you continue to learn, acquire new skills, and gain experience, you can be promoted to a higher-level position.  The entry salary is posted above, with the Intermediate starting salary of $72,691.68, and a senior starting salary of $78,506.88.

Reviews
plans,
specifications,
and
estimates
for
completeness,
accuracy,
and
compliance
with
current design criteria and constructability issues.
Communicates
with
the
district
on
errors,
omissions,
and
recommendations
for
plans
and
job
special provisions submitted by the district.
Assists
in
the
bid
opening
process
by
reviewing
contractor
bids
and
reviewing
final
contracts
for completeness and accuracy.
Creates
requests
for
bids
and
assembles
plans
and
bidding
documents;
prepares
addenda
to
the
bidding
documents
.
Attends
and
participates
in
pre-bid
conferences
with
contractors,
district
personnel,
and
consultants
as
a resource for bidding and contract services.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university curriculum.
Special Working Conditions
Job requires occasional, statewide and out-of-state, overnight travel.
A postsecondary degree is the best measure to ensure candidates possess required knowledge in applied physics and mathematics, drafting, engineering processes and procedures, project management, industry ethical standards, and analyzing and modeling data.
