Pay:
$17.45 per hour
Schedule:
Part-Time, 25 Hours Per Week
Shift:
Three Overnight Shifts Per Week (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Program Assistant On Duty to join our team. This overnight position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals participating in our residential rehabilitation program.

Position Summary
The Program Assistant On Duty is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the rehabilitation program during assigned overnight shifts. This position supports beneficiaries, monitors program adherence, completes facility rounds, responds to incidents, and assists with daily program operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety & Security
Maintain safety, security, and order throughout the facility.
Conduct regular facility rounds and building walkthroughs.
Monitor beneficiary movement, curfew compliance, and pass schedules.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
Complete incident reports and required documentation.
Beneficiary Support
Assist with orientation of new program participants.
Provide facility tours and explain emergency procedures.
Address beneficiary concerns and direct them to appropriate staff.
Lead house meetings and communicate program reminders.
Support accountability and engagement within the program.
Program Operations
Assist with admissions and intake procedures as needed.
Oversee medication call procedures and documentation.
Conduct bed checks and maintain required records.
Administer breathalyzer and urinalysis testing when required.
Monitor assigned work therapy activities.
Transport beneficiaries when assigned and approved.
Administrative Responsibilities
Complete daily reports and electronic recordkeeping.
Document policy violations and significant shift events.
Enter accurate information into program databases.
Participate in required trainings and professional development.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work overnight shifts.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred
Experience in residential programs, rehabilitation services, social services, behavioral health, customer service, security, or human services.
Experience working with individuals in recovery or vulnerable populations.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk throughout the facility and climb stairs during rounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach regularly.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds routinely and assist with lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
