DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Nurse Manager 1, you will oversee the continuity of nursing care and services by ensuring the treatment is consistent with the treatment plans of professional nursing practice. You will direct nursing staff and assure they have the skills to recognize and respect behavior, ideas, attitudes, values, beliefs, customs, language and practices characteristic of the patients. Additionally, you will assist in the development of policies and procedures that regulate nursing services and promote the training and education of staff. Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM), Sunday - Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years as a Registered Nurse Supervisor or three years as a Registered Nurse Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) in a facility providing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; orSix years of professional nursing experience, which includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration.
