DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and organized medical records for incarcerated individuals. Your work will involve coding diseases, operations, and therapies, as well as ensuring that all documentation is in compliance with policies and standards set by the Department of Corrections and other applicable agencies. You will also be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of medical information and fulfilling any legal requests for medical records. Additionally, you will facilitate the transfer of medical records for inmates upon release or transfer from the institution. Furthermore, you will present medical records in court when under subpoena. Overall, your work will be essential in providing quality health care to incarcerated individuals in a secure and compliant manner.Interested in learning more?
