DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform various tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment to maintain the campus at Southeastern Veterans' Center. Duties will include:Operating sanders, jointers, power saws, planers, power tool, and hand tools to complete carpentry tasksRepairing, installing, or fabricating doors, doorframes, temporary partitions, and furnitureInstalling electric circuits, wall outlets, and lighting fixtures, as well as repairing and reconditioning fans and motorsRepairing and installing plumbing fixtures, sinks, water closets, fountains, and lavatories; opening clogged waste drains, sewers, and commodes; and  installing pipes for steam and water linesMaintaining and repairing heating lines, fan coil units, air conditioning, and heating unitsPerforming masonry work for buildings, foundations, walkways, and wallsMaking repairs to roofs, flashing, and spoutingYou will also determine appropriate work methods and procedures to use and prioritize repairs that may cause significant damage.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
