Job Description

Overview

Perform maintenance and repairs on all building HVAC equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on methane exhaust blower system and planned maintenance and periodic testing of building HVAC systems including managing and implementing the filter change-out program. Support testing and inspections of various building systems including electrical, HVAC, fire suppression/detection and other facility systems, perform maintenance and repairs on chillers, cooling towers and duel-fuel boilers. Monitor and manage water chemistry in boiler water, condensate and chilled water systems. Monitor and control the operation of the central utility plant using both the building management system (BMS) and manual controls, respond to all system malfunctions and abnormal conditions in accordance with established procedures. Respond to hot and cold complaints from building occupants through use of the BMS and or local controls, monitor and control the computer-based lighting control system. Perform building rounds and inspections on various building systems. Expected to work some weekends and holidays. Be available after normal working hours and for emergent situations.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED or 2+ years of related technical experience

5+ years of experience in pipe-fitter maintenance field

Experience with cooling & heating

Preferred:

Preferred license S1,S2, OE2
