THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits team at Aramingo Avenue in Philadelphia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team to drive sales and maintain high standards of store presentation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As the Assistant Manager, you will oversee and direct daily store activities, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service. You will supervise a shift, participate in various sales activities, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. Key responsibilities include:Supervise and manage store operations during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and proceduresLead, motivate, and manage a team of Liquor Store employees, assigning tasks, inspecting work, and providing guidanceParticipate in sales activities, including receiving shipments, stocking products, and assisting customers with product selectionProvide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive shopping experienceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for both customers and staffAssist in the management of inventory, ensuring stock levels are accurate and product displays are maintainedAssist the General Manager in store operations, including merchandise management, sales, cash accounting, and record maintenanceHelp ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to alcohol salesCollaborate with the General Manager on staff training, performance reviews, and other operational functionsSafely lift products  - occasionally overhead or from a squatting position from the floor  - weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, ensuring both personal safety and product protectionStand for extended periods of timeFoster a positive, team-oriented environment, working collaboratively to create an atmosphere where every day brings new challenges and rewards At Fine Wine & Good Spirits, we offer a unique opportunity to grow within a state-owned retail environment with a focus on quality customer service and team development.
