We are looking for an Irradiator Technician to support Microelectronics testing at NSWC Crane.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain and maintain authorized user status on irradiators and pulse-power radiation machines, to include radiation and vendor-led training, as well as on-the-job training (OJT)
Assist in maintaining irradiators by performing semi-annual maintenance and safety checks and may include assisting in procedure and process revisions as they become necessary
Work closely with radiation safety office personnel and with irradiator OEM to setup repairs, maintenance, and training
Operate irradiators in support of TID testing and may be required to shift standard working hours and communicate with other operators to be able to accommodate duration of test effort
Assist in audits and reviews of lab and irradiator processes and procedures, as well as tracking, handling, and shipment of activated component inventory as necessary
Operate and maintain the Short-Pulse Gamma (SPG) and Flash X-Ray (FXR) radiation machines to include: daily startup and monitoring of system performance; operating the machine while interfacing with customers (on-site testers); Analysis of waveforms produced by system software and; troubleshoot anomalies
Minimum Requirements:
Vocational/technical training beyond High School and at least 5 years or job-related experience or equivalent
Good written, verbal, and organizational skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret US Government Clearance
Knowledge of radiation effects on technology devices

Compensation Details:
$65,000-$85,000 annually
