THE POSITION

The South Mountain Restoration Center is seeking an energetic, reliable HVAC Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will maintain the center's HVAC, refrigeration, and retherm equipment in proper operation for the comfort and safety of residents. You can expect to check and maintain all refrigerators, freezers, milk coolers, and walk-in boxes. Your work will involve installing new refrigeration and related equipment, as well as new HVAC and related equipment when necessary. Some of your duties will include making adjustments and repairs to heating systems, maintaining central air conditioning units, operating and maintaining refrigerant recovery and recycling equipment, and assisting electricians as required.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the  position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.Overtime as neededFree parking!Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment; orCompletion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment.Special Requirements:You must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an ap
