THE POSITION

Join the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) as a Habitat Education Coordinator for the Bureau of Information and Education at our Harrisburg Headquarters. Advance your career and focus on building awareness and appreciation for the agency’s habitat management program, promoting how all Pennsylvanians can participate in wildlife habitat improvement. Support of our mission to manage and protect wildlife and their habitats while promoting hunting and trapping for current and future generations!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Habitat Education Coordinator advances the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s habitat management initiatives by educating diverse audiences on the value of healthy, well-managed habitats for both wildlife and people. Through hands-on learning on State Game Lands and community outreach, this position empowers Pennsylvanians to implement scalable conservation practices that enhance native ecosystems, support pollinators, and promote coexistence with wildlife. Additionally, the coordinator collaborates across bureaus and regional events to strengthen statewide habitat stewardship and achieve strategic conservation goals.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time, temporary employment, 3 Year Limited TermWork hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 45-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days a week after initial 6 month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
