Full-Stack GAIAA Software Engineer

Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for the GAIAA team, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing and deploying the GDMS enterprise environment for accessing AI assistants that helps employees find information, analyze content, draft materials, automate tasks, and build AI-enabled workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Bug Fixes: Troubleshoot production issues and identify/ship fixes for them.

Feature Development: Implement new features across frontend/backend boundaries.

Collaboration and Maintenance: Work with a team of engineers and designers to maintain a large codebase, following established patterns and proposing new patterns.

Problem Solving: Have a well-rounded understanding of foundational software engineering principles.

Required Skillset:

Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories

Proven experience leading the design, building, and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production

Strong understanding of REST-based infrastructure and how to build REST-based backends

Experience in React, Angular, Vue, FastAPI, or similar frameworks

Mastery with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Git, Bash

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skillset:

Expertise in React-Framework and TypeScript

Expertise in FastAPI and Python

Mastery with concepts relating to react-context, debugging large, controlled components, hooks, and streaming

Experience with Linux, Azure, Docker

Workplace Options:
This position is eligible for Hybrid or 100% Onsite. You must be located near a core GDMS location: Scottsdale AZ, Chantilly VA, Bloomington MN, Greensboro NC, Dedham MA, Taunton MA, Pittsfield MA, Orlando FL, San Jose CA, Pittsburgh PA.

Salary Note
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range
USD $90,833.00 - USD $100,767.00 /Yr.
